A: All applying organizations must be 501c3 organizations in good standing. If your organization meets our eligibility requirements1 you may apply for funding from either Better Our Communities or Rich Family Foundation.

Please note: Golf tournaments, youth sports and community or service organizations (e.g., Little League, travel sports, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, VFW Post, Knights of Columbus) are not eligible for monetary donations.
**Eligibility does not guarantee an invitation to apply for a Rich Family Foundation grant.
A: Grant applications must be received 60-90 days prior to the date funds are needed. Better Our Community grant requests will be reviewed monthly, and applicants will be notified of a decision within 3-5 business days. Rich Family Foundation grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Grant applications are reviewed quarterly; grantees will be updated and notified of their application status via the grant portal, with decisions shared via email.
A: No. Eligible 501c3 non-profit organizations can only apply to either Better Our Communities or Rich Family Foundation once per 12-month period. Please note, exceptions may be made for human-made or natural disaster response.
A: No, individuals and/or events benefiting individuals do not meet Rich’s eligibility criteria. Applying organizations must hold a 501c3 status in good standing.
At the time of your application, your organization must have documentation confirming your 501c3 status.
A: If you’ve received a grant from Rich Products, applying for the same or a similar amount in the same range is a good starting point. Better Our Communities Fund grants range up to $5,000; please note, the average grant allocated is $1,500. The Rich Family Foundation awards gifts of $10,000 or higher.
A: Whether applying to BOC or RFF, non-profit applicants are encouraged to submit a single application. Within that application, non-profit partners are encouraged to put forward their greatest area or areas of need. Partial funding can be awarded for an application that includes multiple funding requests.
A: Focusing on reducing and eliminating food waste is a focus of Rich’s commitment to Generations of Good. We are currently expanding our food donation process but cannot accept individual donation requests at this time.
A: Across the world, Rich associates are fostering a collaborative culture and inspiring a world of possibilities. For both capacity and safety reasons, we are not able to allow outside parties to use our office space.
A: For the safety of our associates and community members, we are not able to allow access to our parking lots. Please note, some exceptions may be allowed in Buffalo, NY at the discretion of the facilities team for non-profit partner single use.
A: Most of the Rich’s business is not consumer facing. Unfortunately, we do not have gift certificates or gift basket items accessible for public use.
A: A commitment to Better Our Communities is a core value of Rich Products! We encourage our associates across the world to be active in the communities where we live, work, and source. We direct and encourage our associates to engage with BoardStrong and Volunteer Match to identify opportunities for connecting in the communities where we live, work and source. Please post your board or volunteer needs to these organizations, we will direct our associates to look there.
